6 Years!!

Six years ago I did the best thing I've ever done. I'm so grateful to be sealed to this guy forever. Or as Easton says "stucked together". I wouldn't want to be stucked together with anyone else!

From the front door. You can see straight out to the back yard/kitchen/dining/living room area.

To the immediate right is an office area with pretty french doors. Our piano will go in there (I'm going to paint the piano black probably).

To the left of the front hallway is the garage and a half bath. I love the sink in there and I love that there is slate flooring in the bathrooms and this hallway. And I LOVE the mudroom bench!

After the piano room there is a stair case to the upstairs and the 4 bedrooms and loft.

The loft area. I am in love with this. Its so big! The whole upstairs is big and open. I'll even have a laundry room with a whole bunch of cabinets. I cannot even handle how much space we are going to have.

So we officially signed the papers today so if nothing crazy weird happens we will now own this home! I can't believe it! I am so excited and nervous! Excited to finally own a home in what seems like a great neighborhood and location, and nervous to decorate such a beautiful place and own it and have to deal with everything that comes with that! I'm just praying that our ward is nice and that I can make a few friends and that most importantly my boys will make some great friends. Hopefully as good as what Nathan had all growing up.

Big changes for the Judds!

Nathan accepted a job offer and we are moving to Utah! I can't believe that it is happening, except that we are in Utah right now looking at homes. He is going to start on April 12th. He has been interviewing for the job since NOVEMBER. It has been a long process and has definitely taught me a lesson in patience. Actually, Nathans job searching in the past year has taught us a HUMONGO lesson in patience and having faith in God's timing.

We are so happy to be able to move to a place closer to both sets of parents and we have lots of friends and family that live in Utah as well. We are SO sad to leave Nathan's brothers. it has been so much fun to live by them and it makes me want to cry when I think about it. We have made some amazing friends as well and living in California has been an all around good experience. I'm grateful that Easton got to play with his cousins so much and even go to preschool with two of them. He will miss them so much. Hopefully he'll make new friends quickly so he won't get homesick.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll keep you posted on how the house hunting is going. Hopefully it will be successful! I'm excited about having a yard for my children to play in. Lincoln was having a BLAST just walking around the houses we looked at yesterday. He is not going to know what to do with all that space! Maybe he'll be a happier child ???

Happy Valentines Day!

This is a special day for us. Six years ago today Nathan asked me to marry him. It was the perfect day. We ate at a fancy french restaurant and went on a carriage ride around the Salt Lake Temple. And he gave me my piano for my birthday. Today wasn't quite as romantic eating our home cooked dinner with Easton running around us but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love Nathan and I'm so grateful to be married to my best friend.

We were decked out in red and white today at church! I whipped up some red ties. I love these two kiddos.

Easton FELL ASLEEP in sacrament meeting. WHAT??? That has NEVER happened. EVER. Not since he was a newborn. He was asleep on the floor for the first hour. He was a mess though when we had to wake him up for Primary. Wow. And Lincoln was really good too which meant I actually got something out of church! WOOHOO!

Nathan's Birthday

Nathan had a great birthday, at least that's the way it seemed to me! I guess you should ask him if you really want to know his opinion. We started out the day by going running together for the first time since he hurt his knee. We ran about a mile and then walked back (good thing because I have a super sinus infection and I thought I was going to die) Then we relaxed, played with Easton, and then went to California Adventures. I think that's crazy that we live so close and it is so not a big deal. The best part about it, is that Easton was watched by Cheryl and Nathan's mom, so we went child free!!!! We got to go on all of the fun rides that we normally can't go on when we have the chunkster. My favorite was the Tower of Terror, it was great! Then I really like the roller coaster, it's been SO long since I've been on one. Nathan's favorite was the Maliboomer. Luckily, it was a pretty slow day so we basically walked on to most of the rides.

We got home and visited with Nathan's family and then had dinner at Cedar Creek. It was SO good. Nathan's family gave him his presents (or so he thought) then we went home to go to bed. Then I gave Nathan a letter that explained that the birthday presents everyone gave him were fake and that his real present was an XBox 360. Seriously, I know, I think I'm losing my mind. He was SO surprised! He had no idea! Which was really the best thing about it. Everyone was in on it, it was great. So now Nathan has an XBox and he is one happy camper. I figure it would come in handy after he had his surgery.

At California Adventures they had this "High School Musical" stage with a bunch of crazy singing and dancing teenagers on it. I've never seen the movie but my sisters love it so I thought I'd snap a picture. Probably no one famous, if you can even tell at all.

My hubby turns 27 today. WHOA 27. When we met, he was 22!

Church ball

Today Nathan had a basketball game at the church. I stayed home to watch Easton and get some things done. About 5 minutes before I thought he would be home, Cheryl called me to tell me that Nathan's knee was hurt really bad and he was having convulsions. What?? Um, ya. So we spent the next 2 1/2 hours or so in the ER only to have them tell us that they had no idea what was wrong. It could either be a sprain or a torn ACL. We have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for him to get an MRI. He has a knee immobilizer and crutches and some vikaden to get him through to that point. We are hoping it's only a sprain, but we are planning for the worst! The funny thing is, is that before he left to go play, I told him to take it easy. When we were in college he repeatedly injured himself playing basketball, and he also got in trouble with refs from time to time. Oh well, we'll keep you posted! Poor Nathan! Thank you so much Scott and Cheryl for watching Easton for us!

Disco Fun-k

I found this while I was blog surfing and I wanted to try it. I totally just wasted about 30 minutes doing this but I thought it was too funny not to. I love Nathan's head. It makes me giggle. Probably will be the only time I see him dance :-)

Four years ago today...

Today is a special day. For one, it's Scott's birthday...happy birthday Scott! For two, and (sorry Scott) a little more important, it's been four years since Nathan and I had our first date! Sorry about the bad picture, but I had to scan it in because it's not very often you have a picture of a first date with the person you end up marrying. Thank you Alyse for bringing your camera!

I am a little more nostalgic than Nathan is and I think about this day and while I had a fun time I had NO IDEA that this was the person I was going to marry! Back then I was super picky. Alyse and I had just read "The Rules" and we were determined to stick with them. Crazy huh! I don't think they actually work, but it makes me laugh that we read it and were practising them. So amazingly enough I got a second date with Nathan and the rest is history. My journal stated: "he is really fun and really nice. I really think that he is cute and I want to go out with him again!" I feel so incredibly lucky today, and every day for that matter! I love you Nathan!

P.S ***Nathan just read this and said it was kind of mean to say that Scott's birthday was not important. That's totally not what I meant! Oh my gosh I'm sorry if it seems that way! Our first date is just important to us ;-)
